Before the incident
The employee was assisting resident in wheelchair to the bathroom.
What happened
As the employee was assisting the resident to the bathroom to use the toilet as the resident sttod from the toilet to return to the wheelchair seat and the resident fell back into the seat and smashed the employees left middle finger. The employee immediately felt pain in the left middle finger and reported what happen to the nurse supervisor on duty. As the employee contniue to work the pain in her middle finger worsen and the employee had swelling.
