What happened
Patient was brought into the ED as unresponsive. The patient was intubated and CPR was in progress. While he was intubated ______ with cardiopulmonary was suctioning the patient. He had copious amounts of foam and fluid coming from his airway. When it was time for a pulse check CPR was stopped and _____ began to bag the patient for oxygen. Upon the initiation of bagging the patient secretions came out of the end of the ambu bag and sprayed into my eyes and on my face. I immediately went and wiped off my face and eyes. I then went to the eyewash station in the housekeeping supply closet. Security let me into the supply closet. I washed both my eyes and my face for approximately 15 minutes. Charge nurse notified.
