Before the incident
Employee was in apprentice school and a portion of the school has the students perform pole climbing and exercises on the pole. He was up on a power pole performing one of the exercises.
What happened
Employee climbed up the pole to the top to tie off the hand line. As he was coming off the primary skit to reach out further his right gaff hook cut-out from the pole. His left hand gripped the cross bar to catch himself and there was a sudden jerk of his body to the right.
