What happened
Employee was preparing a box of parts for line placement by cutting the top off of the box for easy access. Employee attempted to remove the box top with a retractable razor knife cutting from along the side of the box. The employees left hand was positioned on top of the box. As the razor knife was being pulled it tracked to the top of the box and into the employees left thumb causing a laceration from thumb knuckle to thumb knuckle.
