Before the incident
Driving a truck transporting a load of beam parts.
What happened
[REDACTED] was hauling a load of webs and flanges from the [REDACTED] location back to [REDACTED]. A car pulled out in front of the truck cutting him off. [REDACTED] maneuvered to avoid hitting the car. When he did the load shifted causing 6 of 8 straps to break. The load then slid out from under the remaining two straps. This caused the load to spill on to the street and come in contact with the back of the truck cab. Some of the load landed on the car that had cut the truck off. [REDACTED] did not think he needed medical attention on [REDACTED]. [REDACTED] when [REDACTED] woke up he was very sore from the force of the impact and the seat belt catching him. He went to Metro health Emergency Department to be checked out. They found no substantial injuries but prescribed him acetaminophen lidocaine patches and Robaxin.
