Before the incident

The employee was in the process of collecting and entering samples into the activity log. The employee was collecting short boards for the lab samples. The guillotine cut an extra board because of the length laser being tripped by the other samples also in the act of getting the samples and the employee was trying to get the board out hold the board up so it did not keep cutting short boards and tripping the laser. While doing this the material sheet board coming down the line hit the back of the short board and wedged his hand in-between a roller and the board causing the corner of the board to cut into his hand.

What happened

Technician was getting short boards for [REDACTED] samples. In the process of getting short boards the guillotine cut an extra short board. The technician was trying to pull lift the board out so that it would stop tripping the guillotine laser and his hand got stuck between the short board and one of the rollers. The material sheet board pushed into the short board and wedged his hand between the roller and the board. This caused the corner of the board to cut into the palm of his hand.
