Driver pulled over to the side of the road because the truck was smoking. Driver walked to the front passenger side of the vehicle to inspect the passenger side steer tire. Driver was taking a picture of the tire when the tire exploded knocking the driver back and into the road. Passerby stopped to check on driver and called [REDACTED]. Driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.
