Before the incident
Employee was assisting another CNA with transfer of a resident from a recliner chair to bed. [REDACTED] lift was used to aide in transfer.
What happened
The cord to the bed was in the way making it difficult to place resident in bed. Employee went to opposite side of the bed to guide the placement of resident in bed. The [REDACTED] lift got stuck on the cord and the CNA who was assisting the injured employee pushed the [REDACTED] to get it over the cord and the [REDACTED] hit the injured employee 's left ankle.
