EE was disassembling a component as per procedure
What happened
EE was using an arbor press (manually operated press hand driven) to remove a bearing assembly from an aft driveshaft. Upon lowering the press piston the EE 's right hand middle finger was caught between the piston and the Teflon spacer on top of the driveshaft. The EE was stable and rushed to the emergency room due to unknown internal damage. Resulted in a laceration approximately 1.5 inches requiring 4 stitches.
