What happened
The team member was hand stacking on Poly 6. EE used an unapproved knife with no cut resistant gloves to open a box. EE went to put knife away and place their back pocket when EEs ring finger on left hand was cut with the blade. The knife was in EEs right hand and their left was used to press the collapse button when the ring finger was caught and cut. EE wrapped finger with paper towel with applied pressure. EE was taken to Mercy clinic by plant nurse once cut was evaluated. EE received 5 sutures to finger and a tetanus shot. We will continue to monitor our team members condition until they are fully recovered.
