Before the incident
Employee was trying to turn the boat - it had a loose strap between the jack and the cart. Employee attempted to control strap with foot to prevent it from getting rolled over while at the same time pushing with his right hand and steering with his left.
What happened
Employee 's left hand was midway up the handle on the boat jack as employee was trying to position the boat. Employee was controlling loose strap with foot while pushing with right hand. His left hand slipped off of the jack handle and it fell down and pinched his finger between the jack handle and the jack.
