What happened
I was utilizing a double ended K-Wire to perform and DIP Joint fusion. Part of the procedure is reversing the wire through the joint and into the middle phalanx. As I was reinserting the wire in the driver the patient 's hand shifted and the double ended wire stuck my left index finger.
