Before the incident
At [REDACTED] EE was picking from location [REDACTED]251A. During this they were struck in the ankle by a pallet. The pallet was pushed by a tugger that had just turned into the aisle. The pallet pushed their ankle into the racking and it was temporarily pinned between the racking and the pallet. The injured EE was seen by an ERT member within minutes of this occurring. They were also seen by the OHN [REDACTED]. The EE sustained unknown injuries and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. The injured EE was picking from the last location in aisle [REDACTED] so they were positioned close to the aisle entrance. Due to the large quantity they needed to pick they were transferring the cartons from one pallet to another so they could label each of them. The pallet that struck their ankle was the pallet they were transferring the cartons from and it had 1 carton on it. The EE that struck the pallet turned too wide as they entered the aisle and were unable to stop before pushing the pallet.
