While trying to take suspect into custody ([REDACTED]) the suspect spit in my face eyes nose head. While fighting with the suspect on the ground I injured my left knee. I did not initailly feel anything until [REDACTED] when I felt soreness just below my left kneecap. No bruising visible and it feels internal. Regions staff drew blood for testing due to the fluid exposure.
