Attempting to transfer Long-Term Care Unit resident from sitting on side of bed to lying in bed by lifting the resident 's dangling feet off the floor and into bed to lay down.
What happened
While employee was assisting resident to transfer to lay down in bed the resident resisted the planned transfer movement of swinging the resident 's feet and legs onto the bed. During this resistance to movement event the employee states she heard a pop or snap sound from her right wrist with pain to right wrist.
