What happened
Needle stick injury to left thumb during suturing on a known [REDACTED] patient. I have already gone through the appropriate screening and am on [REDACTED] prophylaxis medications from Advocate [REDACTED] but just need to establish followup at Rush Employee Health for routine lab screening while on the [REDACTED] medications as well as routine [REDACTED] testing. I called and spoke to Employee Health who told me that I needed to submit an additional incident report in the Rush system for documentation. I have forwarded my test results and recommended followup labs to Employee Health email address. Please let me know if there is anything else necessary.
