What happened
An employee was changing out a 'gooseneck ' from a Techmire machine. The 'gooseneck ' was placed into a vice to secure it. While removing the shot piston the 'gooseneck ' became loose in the vice. While trying to re-tighten the vice the 'gooseneck ' slipped out and fell forward. The employee tried to grab it with their right hand while still trying to tighten the vice with their left hand. When the gooseneck was falling their right pinky finger was bent backwards at an angle and resulted in a fracture to their hand.
