What happened
While the Employee was adjusting the bolts on the spreader beam on the crane employee was tasked with holding the hook that connects to the beam. During this process the hook unexpectedly disengaged and began to fall. In a reflexive attempt to control the object and prevent it from falling employee grabbed it without considering its weight crushing his right ring fingers of his Right Hand.
