Removing old equipment

The Maintenance Department had begun the dismantling of the old cutting table in preparation for the installation of a new cutting table. The front part of the table was removed in 2 pieces the back half of the table was in panel sections. The team had begun to remove some of the panel sections from the back half of the table. The EE (maint tech) was on the table and was moving one of the panels around he misjudge how close he was to an open panel that had been removed. He then stepped onto the area where there was no panel and fell through the table hitting the side of his body on the table and fracturing 2 ribs. The EE was taken to [REDACTED] where he was given a topical patch to wear and instructed to stay out of work for 3 days and then return to [REDACTED] for a follow up visit.
