Lifting a large toolbox from rear seat of vehicle

Officer [REDACTED] was conducting a search of a vehicle after probable cause was developed to search the vehicle for narcotics. During the course of the vehicle search Officer [REDACTED] removed a large Craftsman Toolbox from the rear seat that was filled with various tools. Officer [REDACTED] reported later in the shift that his back was hurting and it felt as if his lower back muscles would not relax. He also described feeling shooting pain in his back during certain body movements. Officer [REDACTED] went home early before his shift ended on [REDACTED] due to the level of pain and missed work on [REDACTED]. Officer [REDACTED] report to me on [REDACTED] that he was going to return to work on [REDACTED] and would seek treatment at the Safety and Health Clinic.
