What happened
On [REDACTED] Police Recruit [REDACTED] and Officer [REDACTED] performed physical exercise training at [REDACTED] on the track. The training consisted of the officers running around the track and doing calestictics to prepare [REDACTED] for Basic [REDACTED] Enforcement Training ([REDACTED]) [REDACTED]. Being physically fit is an essential component of completing the [REDACTED] program. While training [REDACTED] instructed [REDACTED] to perform a forward lunge. As [REDACTED] stepped out with his left leg to conduct a forward lunge he felt his right kneecap slide out of place and back in. At the same time [REDACTED] fell to the ground and rolled to his back. [REDACTED] came over to help him and [REDACTED] explained what had happened. [REDACTED] was able to get up and started walking again.
