What happened
[REDACTED] [REDACTED] was one of several officers assisting in the apprehension of a burglary suspect at this location. The suspect began to resist officers ' attempts to take him into custody. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] who was covering the rear of the residence at the time heard the disturbance inside and shouted for the rear door to be opened in order to assist with the apprehension of the suspect. [REDACTED] [REDACTED] reached toward the solid door to open same for [REDACTED] [REDACTED] just as [REDACTED] [REDACTED] forced entry through the locked door. The door struck [REDACTED] [REDACTED] 's right hand as it swung open. It was not possible for either officer to see the actions of the other prior to the forced entry.
