Attempting to retrieve gloves out of a tote in the back of police suv

[REDACTED] responded to this location due to an officer involved shooting for investigative purposes. [REDACTED] was attempting to get her gloves which were located in the trunk area of her patrol vehicle ([REDACTED] [REDACTED]). The gloves were located in the evidence collection tote in the back of her trunk area. In attempts to get the gloves she placed her knee on the inside of her truck (elevated surface of her SUV) to pull herself up. In doing so when she put her weight on her right knee she felt and pop and immediate pain. After getting herself out of the vehicle her knee continued to be painful and she felt pain on the sides and back of her knee. [REDACTED] notified Lt. [REDACTED] immediately after this injury. At this time [REDACTED] is willing to monitor and provide self care.
