Before the incident
The associate was slicing meat for a customer in the deli on the deli slicer.
What happened
As they went to adjust the meat they caught 2 of their fingers on the running blade. The associate attempted to bandage the wound on site but it was determined that the associate would need stitches to stop the bleeding. The associate stated that they did not have a vehicle to drive themselves and refused to be take by another associate. An ambulance was called. Paramedics evaluated the associate confirmed that they would need stitches and transport them to the ED.
