Before the incident
The associate was using the Grind2Energy Machine to dispose of food waste. The associate was using a stool to reach the back of the basin.
What happened
As they reached the stool they were standing on shifted and caused the stool to flip up and strike the associate in their knee. At the time the associate did not mention it to their manager as it was close to the end of the day and at the time the pain was manageable. After several days the associate 's knee continued to get worse and the associate informed the store manager that they would be seeking medical attention.
