What happened
The employee was performing a routine equipment rinse during a product changeover. Hot water was used to flush the fill piping. A plastic tube was positioned to direct the hot water from the fill tube to the floor drain. While stepping over the plastic tube the employee tripped causing hot water to enter both boots and resulting in a burn exposure.
