What happened
During a training activity the employee was advancing a charged fire into a structure with two other employees that was up one flight of stairs and down a hall. The employee could not catch their breath and had to exit the drill. Other employees were concerned the employee was experiencing a cardiac event. The employee was advised by paramedics and others to go to the hospital for evaluation. At the hospital it was determined that the employee had pneumonia.
