Before the incident

IW was hand sanding Alder mouldings at the time of the incident. In an effort to check the quailty of the sanding IW had removed his glove and run his hand across the product where he collected a splinter sliver.

What happened

EE had to make their best guess as to the date of the incident but at approximately [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] EE noticed a small splinter in their finger while post-moulder sanding Alder Boards. EE thought very little of it and continued working. EE claims to have been wearing proper PPE during this task but also claims to have removed a glove on one hand in order to get a feel for how the sanding was finishing claiming that it was difficult to tell visually. EE continued to work the normal shift for the rest of [REDACTED] and the entire following week ([REDACTED]) without pain or incident. Therefore still no communication to leadership or first aid during that time. During this [REDACTED] ([REDACTED]) EE claims to have gotten a professional massage during which EE suspects the sliver was pushed further into the finger ultimately resulting in the infection which gradually worsened over the rest of the weekend.
