Before the incident
An employee worked the molds for the first revolution through the system on the inside of [REDACTED] and they loaded several molds without incident. When mold #6 for the 800174 175 parts came into position they opened the mold and loaded it with the required details. They closed the lid and attempted to secure the side latches but were unable.
What happened
At this point they put the latch closest to them into position but not fully closed and then placed the upper latch into position. They placed their body against the latch closest to them and attempted to close the upper latch. While trying to close the latch it was not moving and they began using additional force. During this the mold lifted off the conveyor and the latch finally engaged. While pressing their chest into the mold latch they heard a pop in their left chest.
