Stacking FJ blocks

At aprox [REDACTED] on [REDACTED] EE got dust in their right eye while stacking units on the Kent & Morgan Line of the Cutline Outfeed. On this line (see bottom right) spindle length rip units are “re-ripped” to the next standard size down. Offcuts are small strips to be used for stickers or to be hogged. These saws have a dust collection system but some dust is always present and likely more when “blank chopping” when the in-line moulder is also drawing air from the Dust Collection system. For efficiency EE was scooping groups of 10-15 rip units at a time to stack. This caused more dust to be lifted at once which “flung” at EE’s face and into their right eye. 1st aid attendant tried unsuccessfully to flush so the Branch Admin drove EE to a local Eye Clinic. EE was evaluated prescribed antibiotics as a precautionary measure and deemed safe to return to work.

Ambient floating wood dust was collected in IW 's eye.
