What happened
Two filers were changing the QASB during break. The filer on the near side finished and went over to help the other filer. The filer on the far side had just finished torquing the bottom saw and was going to torque the top saws. The top saw guide bolt and clamp were in place but only hand-tightened. The other filer noticed the top saw looked off or possibly bent so he reached and grabbed the saw not realizing it was not secure. The saw came off the arbor cutting the other filer 's left thumb. The employee was taken for medical care. He suffered a laceration and a fracture to the tip of his left thumb and received 4 stitches.
