Before the incident
Preparing sprayer lubricant container to perform PM on cooler 2
What happened
[REDACTED] and [REDACTED] were preparing to perform PMs on the kiln and cooler which require lubricating the tires. Cooler [REDACTED] Pier 1 is not hot enough to melt the grease blocks used to lubricate the tires so a liquid lubricant is used on this tire. The liquid lubricant is sprayed though a pressurized sprayer that is pressurized with compressed air. The sprayer has a pressure relief valve that opens at 55 PSI. While pressurizing the sprayer it blew up in [REDACTED] face. The sprayer has been secured so that it cannot be used until we can try to determine the point of failure. This sprayer is purchased from the lubrication manufacturer as the sprayer they recommend for this lubricant.
