Before the incident
The employee was trying to unlock clear sodium hypochlorite feeder so that it would feed chemical again.
What happened
When clearing the feeder a hose broke loose and sprayed the employee with sodium hypchlorite.
Injury or illness
The employee 's entire right side got splashed with the chemical. The employee was able to get to the washing station and get the majority of the chemical washed off. However he was unable to get the chemical completely washed out of his right ear. He was treated at local urgent care then treated at ENT specialist the next day.
