Several employees were removing furniture from the Traffic office trailer to allow for new carpeting to be installed. Three employees removed the last piece of furniture (a credenza) from the trailer.

As they were loading the credenza onto a dolly the weight of the object shifted. The employee (who was operating the dolly) had their right foot slip off and under the dolly 's wheel axle allowing the credenza and dolly to fall backward toward them. The other two employees were able to catch the credenza before it fully fell on top of the employee but not before the dolly 's wheel axle rolled back on top of the employee 's right ankle.
