Cleaning knives
What happened
Team member lacerated his right index finger while cleaning planer knives. Team member stated that he had taken four 4 planer blades out of the tub grinder and took them to his workstation to clean the water and debris off of the knives. He thought that he was wiping off the blunt end but had the sharp edge turned away and went to wipe with a paper towel and ran his finger across the sharp edge slicing his finger. Team member was wearing cut proof level 6 at the time of incident. Team member reported the incident and was taken to the emergency room where he received two 2 stitches.
