Per employee incident report: At [REDACTED] I was on the last person of my med pass and went to put away the resident 's needle from the insulin pen to throw it away. The cap was not on like I thought and ended up poking my finger with a used insulin needle. Note anything you observed prior to or during the incident (odors sounds sights etc.). did not notice anything severe a little dot from where I may have poked the needle. What conditions influenced the incident (weather equipment malfunctions time of day stress etc.)? stress from being behind during my med pass and also having residents and coworkers talking to me during the time I poked myself.
