Transferring oversize glass from one rack to another.
What happened
At [REDACTED] two employees were moving oversize glass from one rolling rack to another in order to clear out one rack. The employee in front turned too quickly holding a 67x55 piece of annealed glass causing it to snap in half. A glass sword fell into the employee s right ear causing a 2 inch laceration before then falling to the employee s neck causing an abrasion. The injured employee was given first aid attention by the Production Leads and it was determined that he would need to be driven to the Emergency Room to receive stiches for the laceration. The shift Supervisor drove the employee to Sutter Health Davis Hospital where he received 5 stitches in his ear.
