Before the incident
Employee was changing the belt for the inline exhaust fan.
What happened
Employee was working on a pulley system for the inline exhaust fan for our furnace. Employee went and shut off and locked out the motor for the fan. He released the majority of the tension for the belt. When he went to remove the belt the draft from the furnace was enough pressure to turn the fan slightly. When the employee grabbed the belt the fan spun causing his finger to be pinched between the belt and pulley the belt came free from the pulley. Employee then went to talk to his supervisor.
