A production helper was doing a pan change at the oven switching from Wide to Thins. The injured employee was grabbing the cold wide pans from the pan cart and placing them on the pan return conveyor belt before the incline belt while another employee was removing the hot pans after the pan cleaner. The injured employee stated that while placing one of the pans on the conveyor belt he struck his left middle finger against the conveyor guard.
