employee was drawing the patients AM labs via central line while wearing gloves the employee went to dispose of used syringes from drawing labs into sharps container and was stuck by a used needle that was placed in sharps box. employee removed gloves and noticed she was bleeding. employee washed hands and reported incident to supervisor and was immediately taken to ED for evaluation.
