Blender operator cutting bag into blender
What happened
Employee said that as he was leaning over cutting bags in the blender and the lid fell down on his head. During the time he was cutting bags he stated the other blender was banging the grates with a rubber mallet. The employee stated that he felt a pain in the back of his neck after the incident. There is a point that the operators push the lid up past it 's normal resting home position when making batches. When this happens the lid is at risk of falling about a foot to it 's resting position. The employee said the lid was all the way up when he returned from break.
