Before the incident

On [REDACTED] the employee stated that his toe was still swollen from an injury that occurred [REDACTED] prior. I asked him if he could remember the time or date it took place. He said no. He did state that he did not inform any supervisor of the injury; instead he continued to work until he noticed that the swelling wouldnt go down. When asked what happened he stated that he was in intercompany packing out and that while he was putting a tray on the top of a stack he tripped over a tray and to stop the trays from landing on him he pushed them to the side as they were falling and twisted his lower ankle. He didnt feel anything until he got home and took off his footwear.
