What happened
An employee while filling the CIP tank leaned into the tank. This action caused peracetic acid to get onto the employees ' shirt and abdomen. The employee felt a pinch sensation on their abdomen. Realizing what must have happened the employee flushed the area and their shirt with water. This seemed to mitigate the situation however later in the day the red spot turned worse. The next day there were blisters at the point of contact with the chemical. The following day the blisters had popped. The incident happened on [REDACTED] and was reported on [REDACTED] due to it getting worse.
