[REDACTED] reports right thumb and right knee pain after sustaining a fall. She was in the pre op area went to get a scanner for the patient and stepped on a clear plastic IV catheter cap. She stepped on the catheter cap with her left leg which extended backwards causing her right knee to bend underneath her and hit the ground. Right thumb and hand hit the ground simultaneously with her right knee. Bruising and swelling noted on her right thumb. swelling and bruising noted on her right knee. [REDACTED] has ice pack to right thumb and right knee. Recommended to be seen at Medstar urgent care and continue to use ice and Motrin as needed. [REDACTED] will update [REDACTED] today.
