Helping patient to bedside commode

A confused and agitated patient kicked team member in the LUQ of her abdomen. TM completed remainder of shift. TM began experiencing nausea and pain. Went to ER [REDACTED] due to increasing symptoms. CT scan ordered. Showed free fluid in abdomen with staple Hgb. TM states she declined to be transferred and was discharged. TM called out night of [REDACTED]. RTW under light duty on [REDACTED]. Called out again on [REDACTED] with increasing pain and vomiting Seen again in ED admitted to hospital under observation status on [REDACTED]. Diagnosed with free fluid in abdomen with dropping hgb. Team member taken to OR on [REDACTED] where fluid was drained from abdominal cavity. TM discharged from hospital on [REDACTED].

Kick to Team member 's left upper quadrant of abdomen. Kick caused fluid to build in the abdominal cavity requiring surgery and an inpatient hospital admission.
