raising patient back up to the head of the bed

I went into the room to transport the patient up to floor. Patient appeared to be disoriented so I went to confirm with nurse. The nurse then came with me to the room to give the patient his medications before going upstairs. Patient then attempted to pull out his IV. RN tried to redirect patient by asking patient not to pull out IV. Patient proceeded to still pull out his IV because he was confused. Patient then started then became combative and attempted to get out of bed. Patient is a fall risk and on blood thinners. So then RN and I proceeded to bring the patient back in the bed before he had a fall. As we were raising him back up to the head of the bed the patient then bit me in the abdomen. I then notified my charge nurse and checked in for evaluation.
