Before the incident
Housekeeping tasks noticed an end that needed the nipple pipe removed and took it to the metering station 's nipple puller.
What happened
The operator had their right hand holding the pipe in place used the lever to start the machine and their glove caught on the pipe. This pulled their thumb into the point of operation resulting in a laceration to the right thumb.
