Before the incident
On [REDACTED] a Production Wax Assembler was moving an I-Case Panel on its manipulator with the assistance of a utility person. The following day mid-way through their shift the employee reported to their lead they were experiencing back pain and asked to leave for the day to seek self-care and rest. Employee did not report the injury via EPMS when they clocked out. [REDACTED] while home the employees’ pain had progressively worsened so they contacted WorkCare who helped assist them in seeking medical attention where they were prescribed days away from work. The initial investigation indicated a possible causal factor being the old-style casters on the manipulator which were gummed up with wax making the equipment difficult to push and pull
