Giving patient a lovenox injection.
What happened
Went to give patient lovenox injection SQ left abdomen. Went in to inject skin using SQ injection technique and felt the needle go into my thumb. Washed thumb with soap and water immediately and additionally used alcohol hand sanitizer.
