assisting with patient care

I was attempting to get the patient up to the bedside commode. The pt stated that he was able to stand with assistance. After the pt was standing he was unable to fully turn to sit on the commode and was trying to sit down. The pt began to slip and then pulled away from me with my left arm under his left arm. This caused pulling in my right upper back and shoulder. After finishing with the pt my back began hurting worse along my right shoulder blade and up into my shoulder and neck.

Sprain Strain Back spoke with EM on 12 3; she was still in pain but did not wish to seek medical attention at this time; I informed her that if anything changes in the next few days to let me know and we can get her seen at CareNow
